It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Duane (Dewey) Tryon on February 19, 2024. Dewey was born Jan. 14, 1959, in St. Ignatius, MT to Patricia (Petticrew) and Ed Tryon. He was the second of eight children.
Dewey was a proud member of the Confederate Salish Kootenai Tribes.
He was a rancher and farmer to the core. He has moved on to where all equipment starts the first time and never breaks down, every farmer's dream!
Dewey enjoyed side by side rides with his dogs, mowing the lawn, gardening, cooking, hunting, fishing, and chatting with everyone, especially on the phone. We will miss his homemade bread and smoked meat. Dewey loved building bridges and dams in his younger days. He looked forward to BBQs with family, ending the season with a harvest party.
Dewey is survived by his wife Marian (LaBelle). Beloved children, son Doug (Luthea), daughter Beaner Christina, grandchildren Nicholas, Makylah, Jase, Thomas, and Patricia, siblings Sandy (Scott), Shirley (Les), Sarah (Tim), Sherry (Bill), Dana (Margo), Paul (Amie). In-laws Beth, Betty, Toni, Charlie (Sue), Jim, John (Lena), Joan (Krag), Paul (Colleen).
Dewey had a very close relationship with all of his numerous nieces and nephews.
Dewey joins the spirit in the sky along with his parents, sister Susie, mother and father-in-law Agnes and Bob, brother-in-law Tom.
He has left a huge hole in our lives, RIP, until we meet again.
