Gibson Donald Brooks, age 19, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017 as a result of a motorcycle accident. He was born on April 13, 1998 in Baltimore, MD., the son of John and Wanda (Koester) Brooks.
He was educated and graduated from Ronan High School. When he was in grade school and middle school, he was active in the Boy Scouts. While he was in high school, he worked with his dad in flooring. He most recently was working at Temp Right Services in Missoula as a technician.
He enjoyed hiking, hunting, fishing, camping, swimming, sky diving, dirt biking and riding his Harley. He also enjoyed going to Rock concerts.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Don Koester, baby Seth Koester, and baby Dean Koester.
He is survived by his parents John and Wanda Brooks, two sisters, Morgan and Lindsey Brooks; grandmothers Marilyn Koester and Martha Brooks; aunt Donna Koester of Kalispell; uncle Sid Koester; cousins Reese and Regin Koester of Kalispell; uncle Ward Koester (Michelle), cousins Cort, Drew and Trent of Friendswood, Texas; uncle Ed Koester (Carol); cousins Ellen, Jack and Marcus of Sioux Falls, S.D. and aunt Linda Hubbell (Doug), cousins Colton and Tom of Bonners Ferry, ID; Debbie Brooks Williams, cousins Cody and Garret of Gettysburg Pennsylvania; Jean Brooks, cousins Mike and Amber of Florida.
Memorial services for Gibson will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at The Lake Funeral Home in Polson for close friends and family.
