Lila Lea Normandeau

Lila Lea (Nelson) Normandeau, age 88, passed away October 19, 2022, at her residence. She was born Feb 18, 1934. She came to Montana with her family when she was six years old. She attended schools in Saint Ignatius and Ronan. She worked at Ronan State Bank.

In 1954, she married Louie Normandeau and subsequently had five children. Lila owned and operated a grocery store, Super Foods, with Louie, while also managing a bulk fuel oil business, Continental Oil. In their spare time, she helped to build several rental homes which she managed. Later, after retirement, Lila spent her time growing flowers and vegetables.

Lila is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth C. Nelson and Tina Rider Nelson, her brother Kenneth C. Jr., two sons, Daniel M, and Kevin R.

She is survived by her children, Steve, Ann, and Keith, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at Ronan Sacred Heart Parish, with a luncheon to follow the burial.
