Rita Tait passed away peacefully at St. Luke’s Hospital in Ronan on Dec. 28, 2016.
Mom was born on Dec. 23, 1922, in Grunmorsbach, Germany, and lived there the next thirty years. In 1954, she married Robert Tait. In 1955, the family moved to America with stops in California, Washington, Alaska, and Colorado. They resided in Colorado Springs until Robert’s death in 2001. Mom then moved Montana to enjoy the beauty of the Polson area for fifteen years. In 2010, she spent a year in St. Joseph’s Assisted Living and the next five years in the comfort and loving care of St. Luke’s Extended Care in Ronan, until her death.
Rita is survived by her son, Karl, and his wife, Lynne; six grandchildren, Chase (Kristin), Ashley (Lara), Jarod, Austin, Karly (Ray), and Kinsley; her brother, Ferdinand Wenzel and numerous nieces and nephews in Germany. Mom was especially fond of her great-grandchildren, Trayden, Trennen, Tallen, Tyren, Taxten, and Taitlyn.
