Tracy Gene Schlemmer

Tracy Gene Schlemmer, 57, passed away July 10, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born March 28, 1967, in Garden Grove, California to Stan and Lynda Schlemmer and joined his big brother Tim. 

They moved to Arlee when Tracy was three because Lynda wanted to be closer to her family, the Gassers. Tracy was an Allstate football player, liked to play basketball and was in many bowling leagues and he held records at Arlee high School for weightlifting and graduated there in 1985. 

Tracy was raised changing pipes and feeding cows. After high school Tracy worked at the gas station in Arlee where he met most Arleesians. Not long after that, in 1986, he went to work at Montana Naturals. The company switched hands many times but in 2007 it became Designs for Health. Tracy started out in the warehouse and worked his way up to General Manager, not an easy feat. He was loved and respected by the employees, who most always became his friends. 

Tracy is preceded in death by his parents, girlfriend Melissa Martinez and many aunts and uncles.

Tracy is survived by his brother Tim Schlemmer, girlfriend Amy Castlio, aunts and uncles Lloyd and Joy Eckly, Jerry Shepherd, Benny Gasser, Jerry Gasser, Dan and Cindy Brennan and Verna Cleve from the Schlemmer side in Nevada. Lifelong friends Billy and Lori Moran, Jack Cross, Phil and Gail Lizotte and Robin and Mitzi Miland and godson Cory Miland. So many friends in the Mission Valley, Arlee and Missoula areas. 

There will be a viewing at Shrider -Thompson Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2024, followed by graveside services at 12:30 on N. Foothills Drive in Ronan followed by a celebration of Life at Tracy's house. Notorious PIG will be provided. Please bring your favorite side dish and join his family telling stories as we celebrate Tracy's life.
